If you want to improve the look of your upper arms, then an arm lift, or brachioplasty, can be an option. An arm lift can reduce sagging skin on the underside of the arm, and tighten skin so your arms look more defined.
You could be a candidate for an arm lift if you want to reduce sagging, drooping skin on your upper arms, if you want to tighten the skin on your arms, or if you want to reduce localized fat deposits in your upper arms. During your private consultation, Dr. Elizabeth and her staff will introduce you to the procedure so you can decide if it’s right for you.
During the arm lift procedure, an incision is made in the lower part of the upper arm. The incision position and length will depend upon the area to be treated. Excess tissue and fat will be removed and the skin tightened. The procedure will be typically be performed in coordination with a partner surgeon and center.
After the surgery, there will be some swelling and bruising. In some cases, a drainage tube may be inserted temporarily to remove fluids. You will need to refrain from strenuous activity for a few weeks typically.
You will notice almost immediately that your arms are tighter and firmer, and this improvement continues as you heal.
