Xeomin® is an injectable treatment clinically proven to reduce frown lines and wrinkles in adults.
Frown lines form when facial expressions are made as the muscle under the skin contracts. When you squint, frown, or smile, the muscles between your eyebrows contract, causing the skin to furrow and fold. Over time, as your skin ages and loses its elasticity, these repeated expressions cause lasting frown lines.
Neurotoxins, such as Xeomin® (incobotulinumtoxinA), are prescription medications that block the release of chemicals that cause these muscle contractions so frown lines are softened.
Celebrities like Christie Brinkley consider Xeomin one of their top secrets for looking younger naturally.
State-of-the-art Manufacturing Process
Xeomin is an FDA-approved, highly purified neurotoxin made through a unique precision manufacturing process. This process isolates the therapeutic component of the molecule and removes the accessory proteins that don’t play an active role in treatment.
Are You a Candidate for Xeomin® Treatments?
If you are an adult with moderate to severe glabellar lines (frown lines between the eyebrows), Xeomin may be right for you. During your consultation, Dr. Elizabeth and the Atlanta Face & Body staff will do a thorough evaluation and explain your options for treatment in detail.
How the procedure works
Xeomin is injected into the skin or underlying muscle via a syringe, a process that is repeated until all desired areas are treated. It generally takes about five to ten minutes for a complete treatment. No anesthesia is required.
There is no downtime with Xeomin. Once treatment is complete, you can go about your daily activities. However, we ask that you do not lie flat for four hours immediately following treatment and do not exercise for the rest of the day. This precautionary measure ensures the product does not migrate from the injection site.
It usually takes three to four days after injection before most clients begin to notice visible results. Full effects, however, generally occur as early as one or two weeks, or up to 30 days following your treatment. Most people can expect three to four months of full effects, even up to six months in some cases. The overall timeframe can vary from person to person, however.
