Was it worth it? … probably is one of the most frequently asked questions post–procedure.
More than one-third of American adults are considering a cosmetic procedure in 2019, according to a December 2018 Harris Poll cited by RealSelf, the leading and most trusted online source for people considering an elective cosmetic treatment. The online go-to source released its comprehensive 2019 Worth It Rankings on aesthetic procedures, scoring each one based upon reviews from people who have undergone the treatment – perhaps the one you may be considering.
Four of the five top ranked surgical procedures are breast-related. Other surgical procedures such as Facelifts, Neck Lifts, Mommy Makeovers and Tummy Tucks, among others, also made Most Worth It ranking. (To be ranked Most Worth It, the treatment must have a cumulative Worth It rating of 90% or higher.) Injectable fillers, such as Belotero® and Radiesse®, dominated the nonsurgical categories. Reviewers also ranked nonsurgical procedures such as lip enhancement, skin rejuvenation, and non-surgical sculpting, such as SculpSure™, among others, as

Whether a procedure was Worth It or Not Worth It can be a very subjective conclusion. Dr. Elizabeth Whitaker has a consistent benchmark, based upon years of experience. “Knowing patients can look their personal best rather than like a different person, makes all the difference. My philosophy is ‘Everyone will notice, but no one will know,” the board-certified plastic surgeon explains.
Surgical or Non-Surgical?
Firmly believing that “less is more,” the team at Atlanta Face and Body focuses on nonsurgical procedures and minimally invasive surgery. “The truth is, many patients want to improve their appearance, but really don’t want surgery,” says Dr. Elizabeth. “We’re in complete harmony with that and we’re only too happy to look at the alternatives and find the least invasive path to reach their goals.”
But for example, if Facial Plastic Surgery is the choice, Dr. Elizabeth, who has performed over 4,000 facelifts in Atlanta, explains, “I want to use my experience to reduce the fear factors that stand in my patients’ way. In procedures where many other surgeons would use general anesthesia, my patients can do well with relaxation and local anesthesia, simply because I am so experienced with this technique. It can be a real benefit in terms of faster recovery times and reduction of anxiety for those who are uncomfortable about going under.’”
Dr. Elizabeth passionately believes there is natural beauty in everyone. “My job is to help you find the optimal look that is Beautifully You. My goal is for everyone to notice how great you look, but for no one to know how you pull it off!”
